False Bliss Set To Release New Album Ritual Terrains – 5th April 2019 via Scottish Fiction

March 18, 2019

Scottish Fiction are proud to present Ritual Terrains, the debut album from Edinburgh alt four-piece False Bliss (formerly known as DTH PDL).

Ritual Terrains is an exploration of identity and uncertainty, dealing with subjects such as deforestation, multiple personality disorder, immigration, acceptance, supernatural folklore, art and technology.  Musically the album is a cohesive work of shoe-gaze and noise guitars, pulsing synths, dreamy vocals and driving rhythms; working both as a continuous piece of music or as individual tracks.

Lead single To The Forest showcases the discordant and eerie side to the album; with pounding drums and foreboding guitars layered with high pitched vocals and krautrock style synths creating a hypnotic groove.  Elsewhere, Tonic Banger chimes with melody reminiscent of early 90’s college-rock, while Witching Party mixes punchy keys with crunchy, reverberating guitars to an adrenaline filled finale.

Ritual Terrains will be released digitally, on cassette, and limited edition improv cassette* on 5th April 2019 via Scottish Fiction.  Pre-orders for the album are available are available here, with an instant download of Am I You? Are You Me?

*The limited edition improv cassettes are a result of a special performance in March this year, where each member of the band added to the studio recordings with a live improvised set.
