Telekinesis shares new video for “A Place in the Sun” from forthcoming album out 22nd February on Merge Records

Michael Benjamin Lerner, a.k.a. Telekinesis, has internalized the science of catchiness and understands on a cellular level what makes certain kinds of songs evoke certain kinds of chemical reactions. Director Kayhl Cooper ran with this idea when he filmed two dozen people as they listened to Telekinesis’ “A Place in the Sun” for the first time. Time to shake off those winter blues:

Cooper describes the shoot:
This video was filmed in people’s personal spaces: their apartment, their workplace, their studio. I told them they could dance or sit still, but they really just had to listen. Having this song in the headphones immediately put them in a completely separate world. I sort of just let the camera run from there.
