Cleveland four-piece Cloud Nothings return to share a new video. The animated visual for “So Right So Clean” is taken from the band’s 2018 album Last Building Burning and was made in collaboration with Brooklyn music discovery collective Wild Honey Pie.

Speaking on the inspiration for the visual, Wild Honey Pie says:

“Set in a post-apocalyptic world of neon skeletons, the story is the day in the life of one individual. It begins as a normal routine day but soon turns into a nightmare. Skeleton overlords destroy old neighborhoods to build bleak cold modern structures. No one is safe from their power and soon become just like them.”

The new video follows arrives as the band wraps up an extensive tour of Europe, with a number of dates in Japan, China and South America still to come. Upon the release of their new album, Cloud Nothings embarked on a 35-date North American tour to close out 2018, bringing their frenetic energy to stages across the continent with support from Kiernan Paradise, Shells, Nap Eyes and The Courtneys on select dates. Last Building Burning serves as a culmination of the development of frontman Dylan Baldi’s ever-changing sound, following up 2017’s Life Without Sound with a new record in which the band continues to solidify themselves as a stalwart in modern rock music. Aiming to harness the energy and unpredictability missing in rock, Cloud Nothings created an album mirroring the feverish intensity of their live shows and set the blueprint for budding bands in the process.

Last Burning Building arrives as a culmination of the development of Dylan Baldi’s ever-changing sound, following up 2017’s Life Without Sound with a new record that sees the band continue to outdo themselves and solidify themselves as a stalwart in modern rock music. The new album is an extension of the band’s live performances, capturing the frenetic energy that’s characteristic of their shows and infusing the jagged unpredictability of guitars that Baldi feels is missing in modern rock today.

“I’m obsessed with the idea of energy at the moment,” Baldi says about the making of Last Building Burning. “That’s how I thought of this record: seven short, and one long, bursts of intense, controlled chaos. I wanted to make that come across in a way that can actually be felt.”

Last Building Burning is available on vinyl, CD, cassette and digitally on Wichita Recordings on 19th October, tracklisting and artwork is below..
