BLOOD RED SHOES release their brand new album ‘Get Tragic’ out today Jan 25th

Brighton duo BLOOD RED SHOES today release their brilliant new album ‘Get Tragic’ on their own Jazz life record label.

Some of the critical acclaim for the record is below:

“It’s loaded with chugging bass riffs and fractured snatches of percussion, but also incorporates dark electronic elements, with producer Nick Launay (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lou Reed, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds) adding some nuance to their typical full-throttle approach. “
The Independent

“They should both be proud of a piece of work which gloriously upends everything you thought you knew about BLOOD RED SHOES.” – Kerrang! Magazine (4/5)

“In short – someone very dear to me once told me that artists are artists because they can convey in words what others can’t; and that that’s what makes them beloved, and beautiful. It would have been so easy for Blood Red Shoes to part ways as enemies, to never speak again, to start solo careers and guest on documentaries about band rivalries and sure, they would have been okay – but instead, they flourished. They gravitated back together. They healed, they argued, they made music about it and to use an LA phrase – ain’t we lucky they did so.” –
Drowned In Sound (9/10)

“If you’ll allow it, fall into Ansel’s banging rack tom, get possessed by Mary-Carter’s dark guitar, or try to figure which member is going to sing first. It’s BLOOD RED SHOES’ musical world and it’ll grab you. “ – Under The Radar Magazine

“ is an excellent comeback that sees them explore new territory while keeping what made their earlier records so engaging” – Dork Magazine (4/5)

The band will be at their London pop-up shop later today (Jan 25th) at Mary Wyatt London at 95 Stoke Newington High Street, from 4pm until 8pm. Their will be free drinks, a signing from the band as well as exclusive one-off merch AND a free gift bag to the first 20 people through the door.
