Circuit Sweet Interview, Feature, News

December 28, 2018

It’s that time once again, as the countdown to the end of 2018 rapidly approaches we take a personal look back on familiar names, features and musicians’ best releases of the past 12 months. In what has been another crazy year of highs and lows- it’s the releases that have pulled a lot of people through the year. Now in it’s 8th year, Circuit Sweet will be hosting takeovers from the featured artists/musicians/labels and promoters of the site with their personal top releases of the year.

Continuing our annual end of year tradition; we let our favourites take over the site to tell us the records that have made their end of year lists. Telling us their favourite events/gigs and what we can look forward to from them next year.

With another incredible year behind them, we once again asked one of our favourite labels to join in with our end of year special. 2018 has been another incredibly rewarding year for the likes of Sargent House with the release of some truly outstanding albums which are already heavily featured in artists end of year lists. Countless tours, releases and multiple acts joining forces with Sargent House– they’ve continued to thrive over the last 12 months.

For our next take over we hand the site to Brittany Baker of Sargent House for the second year running to see what records have made her year, label highlights and more….

I’d like to preface this by saying that I didn’t pick any Sargent House releases to avoid favoritism!

Mitski – Be the Cowboy

Death Oceans

Sextile – 3

VOWWS – Under the World

Anti Language Records

Sophie – Oil of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides
