This coming February, Wrekmeister Harmonies will be touring throughout Europe and Russia in support of new album The Alone Rush. Earlier this year, Wrekmeister Harmonies (the duo of JR Robinson and Esther Shaw) performed at Roadburn Festival and Doom Over Leipzig.
A hauntingly intense and dark meditation on death and isolation, the concise compositions that make up The Alone Rush carry an emotional heft without the orchestrated bombast of their previous four albums. Songs are still just as expansive and ambitious, blending waves of ethereal keyboards, swirling string melodies, and crescendos of dissonance, but now turn their central focus towards Robinson’s deep, rich, and soothing vocals.
