SAVAK make a potent and pointed agitpop racket…” NOISEY

“Dread-fueled, post-punk angst tempered with catchy hooks.”  MAGNET

“Superior twin-guitar slash action.” MOJO

Brooklyn rock veterans SAVAK (members of ObitsHoly FuckThe Cops) will be releasing their third album Beg Your Pardon, on November 9 via Ernest Jenning Record Co.   SAVAK are Sohrab Habibion (guitar & vocals); Michael Jaworski (guitar & vocals) and Matt Schulz (drums).

The band will be coming to the UK next month for some shows and have just premiered the video for their latest single “Doors, Deals and Debt” on Brooklyn Vegan.

Michael Jaworski describes the song as, “An ode to the life of a musician, slogging away for years with little or no monetary success. The reality and friction within personal relationships that may come as a result of pursuing an artistic career with no financial reward or inheritance to pass on to one’s heirs. At times it may be a struggle to raise a family and follow this dedication, but with it comes the personal freedom and immaterial liberation of remaining true to one’s self.”

Beg Your Pardon follows a compelling progression from their past releases (2016’s Best Of Luck In Future Endeavors and 2017’s Cut-Ups)  – equally the most punk rock and sublime record in their repertoire. The new album features everything from noisy careeners and ’80s hardcore nods to slightly glammy stompers and straight-up, New Zealand-inspired, guitar-pop songs (and that’s just in the first 10 minutes of side one).

The band have already shared the singles, “Nature Erased”“Dead Dick” and “We Lead Them To Our Doors”.
