With the mighty 2000trees Festival 2018 fast approaching, we wanted to remind you all of the incredible bands playing this years event, but also shed some light on some of the other goings on, happenings, special features and stand out points that will be happening at this years Trees.

From festival organiser, James Scarlett – “There is a lot happening at 2000trees Festival this year. Not only do you get 130 of the best rock bands on the planet, but we also spend a huge amount of time curating a festival that truly is the best party you’ve ever been to, in the most relaxing and beautiful location. Late night activities include our ever popular silent disco plus an exciting new addition this year… Noisey Karaoke. And if chilling is your thing then maybe try some sunset yoga, or go and relax at our stunning Forest Stage watching sets from the likes of Enter Shikari and Jamie Lenman. And if in doubt, just have a wander around our incredible range of hand-picked food vendors. I’m 100% convinced this is going to be the best 2000trees Festival yet!”

First off, the clash finder, to help make sure your festival going experience is absolutely perfect (and you have enough time to run between seeing Black Peaks headline the 2nd stage to seeing At The Drive In destroy the main stage, on Thursday, for example) which you can find – HERE

Recently, the world of music lost someone very special, Scott Hutchison – the frontman of Frightened Rabbit and Mastersystem2000trees Festival wants to pay tribute in the most respectful way we can to Scott and his bands, who are all long-time friends of the festival. Both of his bands were due to perform, so this year, there will be a ‘Camp Frabbit and at 14:25 on Friday July 13th in The Forest, we will have very special guest performances celebrating Scott’s legacy.

There will be BUSK BOXES, which are just small un-amplified stages in the main campsite. They’ve been organically set up over the years by fans of Reuben, Frank Turner, Ben Marwoodand now Frightened Rabbit (called by the fansCamp Turner, Camp Reuben, Camp Marwood and Camp Frabbit). They were not created by the festival, they were created by the fans, and this year there is also a little acoustic village where these BUSK BOXES are all near to each other. This will feature some special sets from various bands but is also an opportunity for the fans to get up and sing a song.

The site this year is 100% cashless, meaning everything from food, drink, merch and more must ALL be bought using the cashless wristbands. For more info and FAQs, please check – HERE

For those festival go-ers not wanting to stop once the bands have all played, there will be ‘Noisey’ (aka VICE) rock karaoke in the Neu stage on Friday and Saturday from 11pm-2am and Silent Disco from 11pm-3am (Fri & Sat) on the Cave Stage (rock) and Main Stage (more commercial pop, electronic etc).

For those early birds, there are also more enhanced ‘breakfast’ activities between 9am-12pm and we have a much more developed children’s area featuring breakfast-ercise, Babel Babies and Rocking the Ukelele sessions, plus Flea’s Yurt of Fun, Musical Lovebirds and story-telling.

For some non music activities, we already have the Forest School which is very cool and something we encourage each Trees attendant to discover for themselves, very close to the Forest Stage. Our Chillout Area makes a welcome return this year as well – a place of sanctuary to do absolutely nothing if you choose. Plus we have loads of activities to keep you entertained – especially in the mornings before the music starts. Why not try yoga, play the ukulele, Crazy Golf, the 2018 fancy dress theme day (this year it is BEES), challenge your mates to a board game, colour in a Hobbit or join in our quiz games. Our charity partners will also be sharing their time with informal conversations, Juncture 25 will tickle your literary tentacles with poetry readings throughout the day, and there are refreshments right next door.

We also have some of the worlds very best independent food traders – from firm favourites Smokin Hot Tamales with their stunning burritos to the joyous return of Pieminister. For all you veggie vegans we have newbies Manjula Catering & Nomads. Both these guys will be bringing the veggie/ vegan delights (but most stalls include veggie/ vegan & gluten free options).  For some more vendors, look – HERE

Finally of course, we have some of the worlds best, most exciting music this year including our incredible main stage headliners, At The Drive In (Thurs), Twin Atlantic (Friday) and Enter Shikari (Sat). Joining them will be The Cave (2nd stage) headliners Black Peaks (Thursday), Creeper (Friday) and Hell Is For Heroes (Sat), The Axiom (3rd stage) headliners Jonah Matranga & Friends (Thurs), My Vitriol (Friday) and Sikth (Sat), and The Neu Stage (4th stage) headliners Conjurer (Fri) and Gallops (Sat). Other bands include (in no particular order) – Dream Wife, Arcane Roots, Turnstile, Sløtface, Brutus, Jamie Lenman, Blood Red Shoes, Moose Blood, Mallory Knox, Brutus, Skinny Lister, Fatherson, Black Honey, Meat Wave, Demob Happy, Black Foxxes, The XCERTS, Boston Manor, Touche Amore, H09909, Basement, Marmozets and many many more.

2000trees Festival is an event that both fans and bands love, as much as each other – as some of these testimonies prove:

Arcane Roots – “If we ever had a scene or a place we’d call home outside of our actual abodes, it would be 2000trees. It is always the highlight of our festival season and the audience has always felt as if it were our own. They have created such an incredibly special atmosphere at 2000trees that it is almost impossible to not come away having played one of your favourite shows to date. Safe to say, this year our only desire is show everyone just what we do when given that opportunity.”

Lower Than Atlantis – “2000trees is one of my all time favourite festivals. Good music, good mates and good times”

Black Peaks – “We are very lucky to have played 2000trees a few times now, and feel like we have become a part of the family . This years line up has some of our absolute faves on it, including Marmozetes , The Xcerts , Jamie Lenman , Arcane Roots and Palm Reader . Its gonna be a bloody belter!”

Rolo Tomassi – “Up there with the best the UK has to offer in terms of independent festivals. An amazing mix of artists, a wonderful site and an all round very good time”

Jamie Lenman – “I’m very excited to be coming back to the Forest after larging it on the Main Stage last year – tiny personal shows are just as fun as big rockers for me, sometimes even more so. I’m bringing a nice selection of treats with me and a few surprises because I want it to be special so make sure you don’t miss it!!!”

Fizzy Blood – “2000trees is up there as one of our favourite UK festivals, looks like another amazing line up and we can’t wait back to come back and play soon
