Fleet Foxes have announced a limited edition 7” to be released on Record Store Day on April 21. The A-side features a special recording of the title track to their 2017 album Crack-Up, performed with renowned Icelandic women’s choir Graduale Nobli at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik, just before the band headlined Iceland Airwaves last year. Consequence Of Sound created a video of the stunning performance, directed by Eilífur Örn Þrastarson and produced by Lior Phillips, with creative direction by Kevin McMahon, viewable here. On the B-side is an intimate version of ‘In The Morning’ recorded live at the 2017 Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
Fleet Foxes’ extensive world tour is underway and features upcoming festival plays at Coachella, Boston Calling, and Shaky Knees, as well as two nights at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The next UK performances are in August, at Summer Nights At The Bandstand in Glasgow, and Green Man Festival. These shows come on the heels of an exceptional 2017. Following their highly anticipated return from a six-year hiatus, Fleet Foxes released an internationally beloved full-length album, Crack Up; sold out notable venues around the world, and earned year-end recognition from Q, Uncut, Sunday Times and more.

Crack-Up comes six years after the 2011 release of Helplessness Blues and nearly a decade since the band’s 2008 self-titled debut. All eleven of the songs on Crack-Up were written by Robin Pecknold. The album was co-produced by Pecknold and Skyler Skjelset, his longtime bandmate, collaborator, and childhood friend.
Fleet Foxes’ debut made a profound impact on the international musical landscape, earning them Uncut’s first ever Music Award Prize, and topping numerous “Best of” lists, including Rolling Stone’s 100 Best Albums of the 2000’s and Pitchfork’s 50 Best Albums of 2008. Fleet Foxes is certified Gold in North America and Platinum in both the UK and Australia. The follow-up album Helplessness Blues was met with the same critical praise as its predecessor (MOJO five stars, Rolling Stone four stars, Pitchfork Best New Music); that album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200, went Gold in the UK, and earned the band a GRAMMY nomination.
