Young Statues Announce New 7″ & Digital EP Amarillo
Listen to “Somebody Else” Now
East Coast Tour Dates Announced

Philadelphia indie-pop/Americana band Young Statues announced today that they will release a new 7″ and digital EP, titled Amarillo on Run For Cover Records on February 23, 2018. They’ve released a track from the EP called “Somebody Else” and the Amarillo 7″ is currently available for pre-order from Run For Cover. Young Statues will embark on a short run of tour dates at the end of the month (all tour dates below).

It’s been years since Young Statues’ last release, 2014’s The Flatlands Are Your Friend(Run For Cover). The band’s last full length saw them exploring somber territory tread before by bands like the National, and prior to that, their self-titled debut and follow up EP Age Isn’t Ours offered varied moments of genre-defying musicianship. On Amarillo, the band’s growth towards a more upbeat outlook is apparent. The tracks offer a refreshingly upbeat blend of indie-pop and alt-country, elevated by stellar production and musicianship. The wailing of the harmonica on the bridge of lead single “Somebody Else” is just one of the many highlights offered up on the band’s new release.
