Debut single from El Morgan and her new band, the Divers out 15th Jan 2018!
Touring the UK this spring!
Having spent a number of years touring the DIY circuit as a solo artist, Portsmouth singer songwriter, El Morgan has just released her debut single with the backing of her new band the Divers.

Combining the darker side of folk, achingly beautiful country and a hint of something heavier. The band have drawn comparisons to the likes of PJ Harvey, Neko Case and Laura Marling. Sombrely melancholic and delivered with steely sincerity, the song is dark and meditative.
The song has taken El a while to bring to the world – “I started writing Decorations the day after my father’s wake 8 years ago. There was a torrential rain storm in the morning and wine was flying everywhere out of the glasses and pouring all over the tables in the back yard. The song is about losing sight of what’s important and getting caught up in small world worries.
Away from her solo work with The Divers, El plays in indie-punk band Personal Best (whose members make up her backing band alongside Gabriel McKenzie of Haters on bass, Rosalind Asprey of Matagot on cello). She’s also one third of Dear Everyone and one half of the team behind recording studio Southsea Sound (where this song was recorded with producer Tim Greaves).
Debut album expected later in 2018 via Specialist Subject Records.
