FLEET FOXES announce Black Friday 10″ EP + UK tour

Fleet Foxes have announced a special edition 10” EP, The Electric Lady Session, available exclusively at independent record stores starting on Record Store Day’s Black Friday, November 24.  Those interested in purchasing a copy can find an independent record store near them by visiting []  The EP features four songs, thoughtfully selected from a WFUV session recorded at New York’s historic, Electric Lady Studios on June 13, 2017, days before Crack-Up was released.  In addition to the announcement, Fleet Foxes have released a Classic Album Sunday Q&A which can be viewed here.

Side A of the vinyl includes ‘Cassius, -‘ and ‘- Naiads, Cassadies’, while side B includes ‘Mearcstapa’ and ‘On Another Ocean (January / June)’.  Each pair is recorded and cut as one long track to reflect the intentional fluidity between these songs, on both the album and in live performance.

The release coincides with a new single, ‘On Another Ocean (January / June)’, as well as an upcoming European tour, including six UK shows, atManchester’s O2 Apollo on November 23Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall on November 24London’s O2 Brixton Academy on November 26and November 27Bexhill’s De La Warr Pavilion on November 28, and Southampton’s O2 Guildhall on November 29.  These performances will be the band’s first UK headline shows in six years.

Electric Lady Studios is the oldest working and thriving recording studio in New York City.  Made famous by Jimi Hendrix and classic 70s sessions with The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, and Patti Smith, among others, and maintains its reputation as the most hallowed grounds for recorded music.

About Fleet Foxes | Crack-Up comes six years after the 2011 release of Helplessness Blues and nearly a decade since the band’s 2008 self-titled debut.  All eleven of the songs on Crack-Up were written by Robin Pecknold.  The album was co-produced by Pecknold and Skyler Skjelset, his longtime bandmate, collaborator, and childhood friend.
