Scranton, PA artist Petal announced today that she will release a new 7″, titled Comfort, on Run For Cover Records on September 15, 2017. The label is currently streaming her cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Silver Springs” – a stunning version rendered dynamically on piano by Petal’s Kiley Lotz. Lotz will embark on a solo tour opening for ATO Records artist Slow Dancer this fall (all tour dates below).
Petal’s 2015 debut LP Shame won widespread acclaim from a variety of outlets including the New York Times, Pitchfork and SPIN among others. The band is the project of multi-talented songwriter Kiley Lotz, who comes from a theatre background. She has spent the past two years touring with Pinegrove, Julien Baker, Pity Sex, Kevin Devine, and Beach Slang, steadily growing a supportive fan base and is currently in the studio finishing up her sophomore album, which is scheduled for a 2018 release.
