LEMURIA set to release UK 10 Year Anniversary edition of ‘Get Better’
via Banquet Records on 7th July

UK & Ireland Anniversary Tour in July –
Supports Mikey Erg & Colour Me Wednesday announced

Lemuria are set to hit the UK in July for a special celebration of the 10 year anniversary of their iconic ‘Get Better’ album. To coincide with this jaunt on these shores, they’ll be releasing a UK Anniversary edition of the LP with new artwork on gatefold vinyl, exclusive poster, an essay reflecting on the album’s creation, and a bonus limited 7″ of ‘Get Better’ era B-sides. This will be out via Banquet Records on 7th July.

Dealing with the death of his father shortly prior to recording ‘Get Better’, drummer/vocalist Alex Kerns was in the depths of grief during its creation and reflecting on the record ten years later is poignant and cathartic: “Themes rooted in stress and clouded with numbness simultaneously. Time might not expire the feelings the decade old songs document, but it provides proof of your ability to pivot.”

The band will be playing ‘Get Better’ in its entirety on the UK and Ireland tour, as well as some additional songs with each set. They’ve also been announced on the line-up for 2000trees Festival, as well as adding another date in Belfast. Mikey Erg and Colour Me Wednesday have been announced as support on the headline dates.

Get Better’ and Lemuria’s discography as a whole have lit the way for many a contemporary emo, punk, alt or indie entity and this album’s release is merely one reason to celebrate.
