Emil Amos premieres new track
on Brooklyn Vegan
New solo album Filmmusik
released 2nd June

Emil Amos (Om, Grails and Holy Sons) has premiered a new track “Elements Cycling” via Brooklyn Vegan who describe it as a “dose of the kind of psychedelic desert rock that Emil does so well. This one’s on the softer side, and it’s a real trip.”

Filmmusik, out 2nd June on Pelagic Records, is the first album Amos has released under his own name – bringing all his signature styles under one record. “The idea of releasing a Filmmusik LP was stolen from the keyboardist of Can, Irwin Schmidt, who had a virtually unknown series of records under the same name.  It’s a pretentious concept for sure, until you eventually have a body of music lying around that actually stands up strong in that mold.”

The vastly different sounds of Amos’s four bands are blended into one kaleidoscopic union that plays like a soundtrack to a lonely 70s European suspense film.
