With over 1 million Spotify streams to date for her self-released debut EP ‘Hollowed Out Sea’, Dublin singer songwriter Ailbhe Reddy is being tipped for a major international breakthrough in 2017.
She now confirms her biggest headline shows to date and is coming to the UK for the first time to play The Servant Jazz Quarters in London on 15th February. She also plays The Sugar Club in Dublin on 22nd Feb 2017. Her recent single ‘Distrust’produced by Darragh Nolan (Sacred Animals) has already had over 13,000 YouTube views since being released in Ireland last year as part of ‘Hollowed Out Sea.’
Ailbhe first began to attract attention when a homemade demo of her song ‘Cover Me’ was used in a Today FM radio advert in 2014. Later that year her first single, ‘Flesh & Blood’ garnered excellent reviews and was featured as Song of the Day on Folk Radio UK. She went on to feature on almost every major Irish festival line up in 2016 including Electric Picnic, Body & Soul, Hard Working Class Heroes, Knockanstockan, Spirit of Folk and recently performed a stunning set for Other Voices in Dingle which will be broadcast over the coming weeks.
Stay tuned for news on Ailbhe’s next single, ‘Relent’ – coming soon.
