– EARNS FIRST-EVER GRAMMY® AWARD NOMINATION WITH NEW ALBUM ‘EPOCH
– UK SHOWS IN FEBRUARY

– LP/CD DUE JAN 20TH VIA GHOSTLY INTERNATIONAL

Ghostly International recording group Tycho has received its first ever GRAMMY® Award nomination. ‘Epoch‘, the Bay Area–based group’s acclaimed fifth studio album, earned a nod as ‘Best Dance/Electronic Album.’

The album is set for physical release on Jan 20th and Tycho is playing two London shows at Electric Brixton on Feb 27th & 28th, with the show on the 28th already sold out, and has also just been added to the line-up forPrimavera Sound 2017.

“Absolutely surreal to hear the news this morning that Epoch has been nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album.  The first Tycho release was 14 years ago and since that time I’ve had the good fortune of working with some incredibly talented and passionate people to help realize this vision,” said Tycho frontman Scott Hansen. “For me Epoch felt like the culmination of that journey so to have it recognized in this way is something truly special. This is an extraordinary honor and we’re immensely grateful to have fans who have supported us for so long and enabled us to make the music we want without compromise.”

Epoch made an extraordinary chart debut following its surprise release last September, entering Billboard’s “Top Dance/Electronic Albums” at #1 – Tycho’s highest chart placement to date. In addition, Epoch also arrived in the upper half of the overall SoundScan/Billboard 200 – Tycho’s highest main chart placement to date. Epoch is available now at all DSPs and streaming services; physical media arrives on January 20, with CD and vinyl pre–orders available exclusively via ISO50 and The Ghostly Store.

Epoch includes extraordinary tracks such as ‘Division,’ now accompanied by an equally potent live video filmed earlier this year at Morrison, CO’s world famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Division is streaming now via Tycho’s official YouTube channel.

Tycho will kick off 2017 with an epic world tour, beginning January 7 with a sold out show at Oakland, CA’s Fox Theater and then heading east for dates in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan as well a major role on the annual Laneway Festival tour, traveling Australia and Singapore from mid–January to early February.
