Atlana’s Omni head to Europe for extensive tour
in February 2017!

Album Deluxe out now on Trouble in Mind

“What a lovely combination of things this Atlanta trio’s debut album is: a dash of starry-eyed retro-futurism, a whole lot of artfully misshapen post-punk invention, and perhaps something of a harking back to a lost ideal of left-of-the-dial college rock.”  The Guardian ****

“Omni manage to sound both methodical and unrestrained, and mesmerizing the whole way through.” Pitchfork

“…expect reference points such as Mars, DNA or Bush Tetras allied to some incredible infectious, wholly addictive melodies.”  Clash

“This is a pop record that works outside of the predictabilities of the genre.” Loud & Quiet

Immediate and uninhibited, this is a record full of oddly pleasing angles.”  The Skinny

Atlanta’s Omni will be heading over here for an extensive European tour in February 2017- UK dates listed below.  They band will also be popping into Marc Riley’s 6 Music show for a session on the 15th February. Marc has championed the band ever since he first heard their debut album Deluxe and says, “It’s at this time of the year one is asked to come up with various ‘Best Of…’ lists and charts, and after little thought or deliberation I came to the conclusion that Omni’s ‘Deluxe’ had come up as my 3rd favourite album of 2016. Just behind Bowie and Thee Oh Sees.  I can live with that if they  can.”UK Dates:

Omni  distill the buzz and grit that snakes through the best of Television, Devo, and Pylon into surprisingly danceable, hook-laden slabs of raw, angular, sonic bliss. It’s still the summer of ’78, and pushing the roots of rock & roll to its limits remains in vogue.

Their debut album, Deluxe, serves as a fresh reminder that rock music can work outside of blues rooted, formulaic progressions without playing it safe behind a wall of effects. Arty enough to impress record enthusiasts, yet melodically attractive enough to transcend to those who’ve never asked: “Sister Midnight” or “Red Money?”

Omni is guitarist Frankie Broyles (ex-DeerhunterBalkans), bassist/vocalist Philip Frobos (ex-Carnivores) and drummer Billy Mitchell(ex-Carnivores).

Omni’s Deluxe is out now on Trouble In Mind.
