Blind Pilot will play their first London show in 4 years at Oslo on 28th November. The band, who recently released their new album ‘And Then Like Lions’ through ATO Records, has also shared its ‘Packed Powder’ music video. The video was directed by Christopher Good and shot in the band’s riverside hometown of Astoria, Oregon, watch it below…

‘Packed Powder’ is the first music video from ‘And Then Like Lions’. “To me the character in the song is talking about a past of trying on these different guises in a half-hearted attempt to please someone else,” says director Good. “Deep down, though, he can’t shake the feeling that he’s destined for something else. I feel like the video kind of mirrors that in a way, it keeps trying to be a fairly straightforward, literal illustration of the song’s lyrics but repeatedly trails off into these flights of fancy, these surreal little tangents.”
The ‘Packed Powder’ video comes at an exciting time for Blind Pilot. ‘And Then Like Lions’ was written and composed by Blind Pilot’s Israel Nebeker over the course of three years. The record is a transcendent, cathartic response to the loss of his father and end of a 13-year relationship. ‘Lions’ is Blind Pilot’s most exhilarating album to date; a lush 10-song collection that is resilient, uplifting and often majestic in the face of tragedy.
Blind Pilot has performed on Ellen and The Late Show with David Letterman, at the Newport Folk Festival, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza. The group has shared stages with The Shins, Andrew Bird, Calexico and more. The project began in 2007 when Israel and co-founding member Ryan Dobrowski went on a West Coast tour via bicycle.
