TIBET ANNOUNCE UK HEADLINE TOUR + NATIONAL DATES w/ THE AMAZONS
“Ferociously direct and oozing confidence in their riffs and percussion.” – Crack in The Road
“it’s huge, it’s massive, we’re going to play it again!” – Huw Stephens
“A sharp, stomping, raucous, revivalist sound.” – The 405
“There’s a rumbling sound in the distance… Razor sharp, the band are already favourites with Radio 1 and XFM, who seem to be drawn to their illicit thrills and potent songwriting.” – Clash Music
Tibet have confirmed a headline tour of the UK this autumn, and will also be joining The Amazons for a run of national dates – celebrating with a panda bothering video for new single ‘There Is A Place’, out today. Premiered last week by Huw Stephens, he was so taken aback at how good the song was, he had to play it twice…on the same show.
Following a triumphant summer of festival performances that has included Reading and Leeds, Latitude, Isle Of Wight, Y Not, The Great Escape and Truck, the band wrap up their summer at Festival No. 6. The Cardiff-based quartet will kick off their biggest headline tour to date on October 23 at The Louisiana in Bristol, taking in shows at Edinburgh, Stoke-On-Trent, London and their home town of Cardiff.
This will be preceded by national tour with The Amazons, commencing on October 5 in Sheffield. The tour announcement follows the release of latest single ‘There Is A Place’, which received a Radio 1 premiere, and double play this month, with Huw Stephens declaring, “It’s huge, it’s massive, we’re going to play it again!”
