Announce debut single, ‘Bones’

Polykite are a five piece dream-pop band from Melbourne. Forming in 2013, collectively inspired by the Melbourne live music scene, they also have it to thank for meeting each other. Through the years the band have gigged sporadically; choosing instead to develop their sound from the cosy confines of a Northcote garage.
In February 2016 vocalist and bassist Karly, guitarists Max and Ell, keyboardist Sophie, and drummer Dylan entered the studio to record their debut EP “Primordial” due for release in late 2016 on new London label, Cloud of Hiss. The band – which includes two sets of siblings – have self-produced an EP of euphoric melodies, soaring guitar lines and reverb-drenched percussion channelling elements of Blonde Redhead, Explosions in the Sky and Beach House.
Their first single ‘Bones’ is a heart-bursting track reflecting both the youthful exultance at their foundations and a melancholy beyond their years. ‘Bones’ has already featured several times on Triple J Unearthed.
