Announce series of shows for December 2016
“Black Peaches revived the smooth spirit of Steely Dan, combining samba, funk, and rock in a way that was both virtuosic and tongue-in-cheek” – The Times
“Both contemporary and intruiging…an irresistible creation” – Q
“Impeccably performed…this reserved take on Southern rock has charm” – Uncut
Following the release of their debut album Get Down You Dirty Rascals on 1965 Records earlier this year, a sold out London show and successful showings at The Great Escape and Glastonbury, Black Peaches announce details of a short run of live dates in December.
The collective led by erstwhile member of Hot Chip and Scritti Politti – Rob Smoughton, provide a psychotropic and exhilarating stew of country boogie, spiritual jazz and funk, creating a rapturous feel-good setting that sees Black Peaches simply excel. Sublimely tight and gloriously loose-limbed, a reputation has been gained via word-of-mouth plaudits for their live shows and further appearances at festivals over the coming weeks will only enhance that standing.
Black Peaches hit the-road in December, tickets are available to purchase here, the dates are as follows:

Sunday 21st August – Green Man Festival, Brecon Beacons
