Nozstock The Hidden Valley returns for its 18th year this July in stunning Herefordshire for a weekend of inspiration & enchantment

Final acts revealed include Wille and the Bandits, Peter Bruntnell, Jaz DeLorean, Echo Town, Katey Brooks, The White Feather Collective, Smokin’ Durrys and more

With a month to go until the 18th Nozstock The Hidden Valley, this enchanting festival has just released the final group of artists completing the billing.

With Wonders Of The Ancient World this year’s theme, Nozstock truly is a place of wonder. It’s a weekend odyssey set across a beautiful working farm, one filled with abundant fun, adventure, charm and a sprinkling of magic across its many stages, its winding paths and forests, filled with eccentric characters, mesmerising marvels and a packed programme from midday until the early hours each day. There’s an abundance of artisanal food and drink for all, a feast for every sense from start to finish, with lip smacking dishes and local ales to savour.

This summer Nozstock has got one of its best lineups to date, from the already revealed Jurassic 5, Imelda May, Foreign Beggars, Gentleman’s Dub Club, Slamboree, The Skints, Hot 8 Brass Band, Buster Shuffle, Professor Elemental, Split Prophets and many more, who are joined on the DJ side by Jaguar Skills, Friction ft. Linguistics, Goldie, My Nu Leng, Dub Phizix + Strategy, DJ Marky & MC GQ, Dimension, Rene LaVice + Stapleton and countless others across the weekend.

Now Nozstock is proud to announce its final names for this July. With their fresh approach to blues rock music, Wille and the Bandits have been assertively carving a place for themselves in Europe’s music scene whilst Peter Bruntnell has been credited as one of the finest songwriters in Britain. The alternative-country singer has toured extensively and established massive commercial success in America, but still prefers the small scale venues. Cardiff-based up-and-coming four-piece Estrons bring their ferocious indie sound to The Orchard Stage. Jaz DeLorean is a multi-instrumentalist, wowing audiences with his piano, accordion and trombone. Influenced by charismatic characters such as Jack Kerouac, his music and lyrics often travel down the wistful, brokenhearted route, performed live with a mischievous glint in his eye and a roguish lopsided grin. Then there’s Echo Town, who are recognised for their vibrant performances, contemporary freedom songs and use of multi instruments such as djembe, didgeridoo and harmonica. Katey Brooks is an Indie Award nominee, who has been endorsed by the likes of Joss Stone. The White Feather Collective are a four-piece Surf/Psych consisting of drums, bass, electric guitar, harmonica and vocals. The band present a high-energy performance with a sound close to that of The Doors and The Rolling Stones. And the Smokin’ Durrys  are a young blues/garage rock duo who bring raw dynamism to Nozstock.

Audio-visual prodigy DJ Cheeba cut his teeth as a resident of Solid Steel radio and quickly made a name for himself with his ingenious live video projections which accompany his beats — prepare yourselves for a multisensory extravaganza. Brighton favourites Normanton Street bring their lyrically-focussed warm bass grooves to the Garden Stage, whilst The Lasting Days energise audiences with their infectious performances of American-influenced indie rock. Kudu Blue‘s combination of electrifying female vocals and experimental electronica is truly musical art. Further acts announced include Towers, Jaghana, Ed Crowley, The Man Who Painted Boats and Wonka and Syn.

Nozstock’s Garden Stage compere for 2015, Natty Speaks, carries audiences on a journey via freestyle hip hop, off-the-cuff comedy and human beatbox. And new for 2016, the good vibes will be flowing through the night at the Orchard Bar with resident DJ Dex, who is celebrating his 15th year at the festival! Expect Funk, Soul & Disco, ‘80s & ‘90s, obscure covers & remixes, festival anthems and all sorts in between as he plays extended sets on both Friday & Saturday night.

Tribe of Frog bring psychedelic, spine-tingling sounds from Psymmetrix – live, Dirty Saffi – live, Illegal Machines – live, Asimilon – live, Occular, Braniac – live, OOOD, Illegal Machines, Hemp, Rama, Krosis, F’da F’da, Psychosonic, Dr.G, PsyDigital, Neutron, Pieman, Steve OOOD, Wicki , Pertual Present and Geo.

Over in The Velveteen Valley, once the clock strikes midnight decadence and delight awaits, including fantastical theatrical and cabaret action from: Irrational Behaviour, Vagina Monologues, The Fetch Theatre, Nula Hula, Tinderbox Creations, Chris Lynam, Jiggery Spokery, O & O Theatre, Threadbare Jugglers, Hummerdruz, Goya Arts, Alanya, Bingo, Vicky Lee, Doe Demure, Jolene, Owen Niblock, Mike Bathke, Indira Skyflower, Ursula, Marvellous Marie, B-Boy Winz and Tom Hunt.

Nozstock features a vibrant spectrum of children’s entertainment; the festival embraces a whole family festival experience from beginning to end. Little Wonderland is a friendly welcoming environment where parents and little ones alike are welcome to get creative, be amazed by wondrous stories, sculptures and entertainment, or roll their sleeves up for some physical fun. All events and activities are free of charge in the Children’s Space across the whole weekend, as

the festival strongly believe families shouldn’t foot the bill for festival fun. There’s even a bottle warming service!

Set on a beautiful working farm in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside, the reassuringly welcoming and independent event has evolved from 50 friends at the inaugural gathering and flourished into an intimate musical odyssey. Joining the dots between pop, ska, folk, funk, soul, indie, drum and bass, psytrance, house and a whole lot more, plus interactive adventure and performance for big and small kids of all ages, Nozstock is a playground for everyone, from seasoned festival goers to newbies setting out for their very first time. The festival features a huge range of entertainment, activities and inspiration for families and kids, and this year’s theme is Wonders of the Ancient World.
