MONSTER TREASURE reveal B-side track ‘The Fall’
Release of self-titled debut album in the UK on 27th May:
UK DATES IN PROGRESS
(Leisure & District)
Currently in the UK for the first ever time, California’s Monster Treasure have revealed a brand new B-side ‘The Fall’ in anticipation of the release of their debut album via Leisure & District next week. They’re currently in the midst of a clutch of shows that will see them play a special album launch party at The Lock Tavern in London tomorrow, as well as support slots with White Lung and NOTS.
Having met in High School in central California earlier this millennium, the three who make up Monster Treasure formed a few years back with the common goal to craft songs inspired by heartbreak, mortality, and financial struggle. The resulting record is mostly about being in love, frustrated, bored and angry in life. Bittersweet melodies and unhinged guitars are the order of the day.
Fully immersed in their local scene, Briana, Rachel, and RJ forge visceral, melody-fuelled punk nuggets using plenty of distortion and layering the instruments at their disposal to devastating effect. Equal parts scuzzy and sweet, menacing and full of sunshine, ‘Monster Treasure’ is a record that will both unsettle and delight.
UK LIVE DATES:
Thurs 26th – LONDON @ The Victoria w/ White Lung
