Here at Circuit Sweet we can’t express the love we have for the Manchester duo Cleft, we’ve caught them live numerous occasions over the past few years and we’ve interviewed the pair in person and for several annual features we produce. In the time that we’ve known and loved these charming men, their fanbase has increasingly excelled, their shows gaining more attention bringing more crowds and they’ve somehow managed to become even tighter when playing live together.
The turbo-prog two-piece consisting of Dan on guitar and John on drums are an unmissable act. Together they create an intense explosion of filthy instrumental rock. Their live performance will always captivate, said set is without a doubt huge. Each track more thunderous and more impressive than the last.
In December last year, Cleft announced they will soon be coming to an end, with the whole of social media in despair they revealed their plans for a new farewell (no doubt masterpiece) record ‘Wrong‘, as fundraised by their loveable and hardcore Cleft fans, and with that came the list of final shows on their ‘Wrong Tour‘.
