New album No One Deserves Happiness out this Friday 18th March – “the grossest pop album of all time”

Extensive co-headline European tour with Full of Hell in April

“[No One Deserves Happiness] sees the band take a further leap in conception, scope and delivery.” – FACT

“The Body’s new album is a grotesque and terrifying achievement.” – Stereogum

“This album, like everything the band has done, is designed to break us now only for us to thank them later.” – SPIN

“The Body’s incredibly abrasive new full-length release… really takes the cake, though, in terms of harnessing that perpetual black mood.” – Noisey

“Pop music may just be in for a rude awakening.” – NPR Music

The Body’s highly anticipated new album, “No One Deserves Happiness” is out thisFriday, 18th March. To celebrate this the band have released an eerie, paranoia-inducing new video for “Two Snakes,” starring director Richard Rankin’s very own grandmother, giving her best dead-eyed stare into the camera.

One of the more biting tracks on the new record, Two Snakes, a hip-hop-influenced tumult, featuring a heavy-hitting bassline that was directly inspired by Beyonce before it went through several mutations as The Body remixed and reprocessed core elements, morphing vocal melodies into distorted keys over the thumping bass.

Read their recent interview with FACT Magazine, discussing the new record, trying not to make a metal record, and collaborating with The Bug:

In April, The Body will join forces with hardcore maniacs Full of Hell for a devastating co-headline tour in Europe, which includes an appearance at Roadburn Festival, and a show in London supporting Converge’s Bloodmoon project. Full list of dates HERE

Within the metal world, The Body are one of the few acts willing to push the boundaries of extreme music. This is none more apparent then with No One Deserves Happiness. They are one of the most in-demand bands around: In the past two years, they have joined forces with metal bands Thou, Sandworm, Full of Hell, and Krieg, recorded withWrekmeister Harmonies, and collaborated with electronic producer The Haxan Cloak for “I Shall Die Here”. They are currently working on a collaboration with renowned dubstep pioneer The Bug. This unexpected list of collaborators and unpredictable touring approach further emphasises the demand for the band’s distinctive sound and their open, explorative nature.
