Flying Vinyl Announce 1st Anniversary Festival Featuring Swim Deep & Black Honey

On the 9th April 2016 Flying Vinyl will host its first music festival for vinyl lovers at Hackney Shapes London, celebrating a year of releasing some of the finest new music on wax.
Over the past year Flying Vinyl have built a reputation for delivering carefully curated, exclusively pressed 7” records from the best new musical talent to its ever growing subscribers. Working alongside a number of labels and independent artists Flying Vinyl produce a monthly box of 5 quality records with coloured vinyl, full artwork and spined sleeves. Each box also features a fanzine detailing the artists included, along with early merchandise from lyric sheets to art prints.
The Flying Vinyl festival will feature performances from some of the greatest artists introduced through the service over the last year. Headlined by indie favorites Swim Deep, the festival also includes a special guest appearance from hotly tipped Black Honey alongside a wealth of emerging talent from Johnny Marr endorsed Kagoule to geeky grunge kids The Magic Gang. For the vinyl enthusiasts a specially curated record store will comprise of exclusive artist merch and records.
Founder Craig Evans says “For almost a year now we’ve been finding the absolute best new music in the world, pressing it exclusively to vinyl and distributing it among our community of new music lovers. As a company we have big goals of rethinking a number of different aspects of music distribution and creating better experiences for listeners. Flying Vinyl Festival is our first move into the live space and one that has already produced one of the most incredible line-ups of 2016.”
