Progressive Metal Trio TOSKA Announce UK Tour With Black Peaks + Palm Reader
‘Ode To The Author’ EP Released 27th February 2016
– Bandcamp #1 Best Selling Rock Album based on pre-orders alone
Brighton based progressive instrumental three piece TOSKA are pleased to announce they will hit the road with fast-rising progressive post-hardcore band Black Peaks in April alongside UK hardcore stalwarts Palm Reader.
“We’re so excited to join Black Peaks on their first headline tour” say the band“they’re good friends of ours and they are proof that heavy progressive music is making a serious comeback that we want to be a part of!”
The side-project of three of the founding members of UK rock band Dorje(fronted by Rob Chapman of Chapman Guitars) this experimental and free-flowing new outfit are out to rewrite the rulebook of what it means to be a progressive metal band, quickly racking up an impressively healthy online following off the back of guitarist Rabea Massaad’s popular YouTube channel.
Their debut EP ‘Ode To The Author’ is set for release on 27th February 2016 and is available to preorder on bandcamp now, where the record has already reached #1 on the Best Selling Rock Album chart based on preorders alone.
Finally finding the opportunity to put 10 years of writing and gigging experience into producing this stunning record has yielded impressive results. Tight, ambient and aggressive, it’s possible to pick out influences from the likes of Karnivool, Porcupine Tree and TesseracT amongst the controlled chaos.
“For us, this EP is unfiltered creative freedom” explains Massaad “These songs truly excite us, because they represent exactly how we want to express ourselves musically. The response so far has been amazing, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it!”
If the scope and ambition of ‘Ode To The Author’ matched with the early reaction from fans is anything to go by, Toska could have a very bright year indeed ahead of them going into 2016.
‘Ode To The Author’ is released digitally on 27th February 2016 via iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, Google Play, and BandCamp
