AKDKAlright The CaptainFlies Are Spies From Hell and Olympians are the first bands to be announced for the third Portals experimental rock mini-festival on Sunday the 20th March.
In addition, Portals are proud to announce that they’ll be teaming up with the lovely folks at the Brixton Windmill to present a Portals BBQ. Every ticket includes food from the BBQ in the price.
AKDK serve up a frenetic melange of experimental electronica which has drawn comparisons to the likes of Three Trapped Tigers, Aphex Twin and Battles. The two-piece use a variety of loops and triggers in a spectacular live show.
“They carry over the improvised Factory Floor-go-disco workouts of their frenetic live show with pinpoint percussion and crackling electronics” (8/10). – NME Magazine.
“One of the most exciting releases of the year” (8/10). – The Line of Best Fit.
Support comes from the precise yet blisteringly noisy electronic/math-rock of Alright The Captain, the intense post-rock of Flies Are Spies From Hell and the infectious wonky alt-rock of Olympians. 4 More bands are still to be announced.
