Announce UK Tour in February + Release Two New Videos:
Taken from New Mini-Album Fever Released 5 February via Easy Action
“A propulsive yet mature piece of rock songwriting.”– Clash
“Mixing indie with psychedelia, there is The Strokes-like feel. Experimenting with garage rock, Lost Dawn redefines the genre for the modern era.”– IDOL magazine
Lost Dawn are a band unfamiliar with the creative block and procrastination that can sometimes follow the release of a first album. Swiftly after the release of their eponymous debut [April, 2015 via Easy Action], which saw the band heralded as“visionaries” – Clash and the pioneers of “the most accomplished album to have come out of the South West in some time.”– NME, the trio returned to their trusted Troubadour Studios, Falmouth with the intention of getting news ideas demoed.
Fever began as a jamming session, as frontman Stanley Duke explains, it was “written a lot through jamming, playing without thinking about whether something is in key, or in time, than pulling the madness together into a structure. It’s all ordered chaos.” However, whist being a journey into their experimental song writing and recording processes, Fever is also a collection of six indelible songs. Shape-shifting and genre-hopping, from The Velvet Underground-esque alt-rock of Rasputin to Naked Lunch with a garage-rock energy reminiscent of The Strokes, through to the 70’s rock flavour of Construction Rock, Fever has all the markings of a classic record.
Following their respective premieres on Clash and IDOL, the videos for Rasputin and Naked Lunch [as well as mini-album ‘teaser’ video for Construction Rock] are available to view and share via Lost Dawn’s YouTube channel. You can also stream all three tracks via Soundcloud: Rasputin | Naked Lunch | Construction Rock.
The release of Fever follows on 5 February via Easy Action [CD/Vinyl/Download].
