We’ve played with these guys more than any other band, they are top guys and have some great ideas. Its great to see them push themselves in new directions and we’ve got to see them devolpe as a band throughout the years. I think Jamie coming into the mix has pushed them onto a new level.Contact Fix is a great album with a great mix of monstrous riffs, technically intricate guitar and bass work and some ferocious drumming. It has a raw power that really shows what they are about .They are A great band, especially live when you get to see how tight and powerful they are. Favorite tracks : Ben and Barbara and French for Gnome

A brilliantly diverse album from Deafheaven. It takes off from their last album and takers you on some unexpected turns.I like how there’s lots of different things gong on.You have the full on  heavy riffs and blast beats/black metal style vocals mixed with beautiful moments of post rock, some very uplifting parts and melodies.I think they are using all there influences in this record and arnt afraid to show it.A great album of 2015.Favortite tracks : Baby Blue, Come Back

1.And So I Watch You From Afar – Heirs:

Having got to support these guys on the Heirs Tour was amazing and we picked it as our favorite album of 2015.Its a great album with some brilliant guitar/bass playing and drums. It has great melodies which you can sing along to and they are so tight live. For me one of the best bands around live, was a pleasure to watch them performing these songs. The vocals add a cool party atmosphere and are great to sing along live. They always put a smile on your face when listening to the songs. Favortite tracks: Wasps, Redesigned a million times

The best show you have played this year and why
Best show we have played, id have to say either when we supported ASIWYFA or when we played Bristol at The Stag and Hounds. For me probably tightest we have ever played and those shows were really fun and felt weirdly relaxing. The Bristol show was awesome as was our first time in there and the crowd was buzzing and dancing to our songs and really appreciative all night. We all loved playing Strangeforms in Leeds too. The atmosphere was amazing and everyone was in such a great mood.We really felt a great buzz from crowd and its such a great mini festival, all the bands were brilliant and Bad Owl Presents are some of the best promoters in the country.Playing with ASIWYFA was amazing as were huge fans. The crowd was ace and we played really well. The And So guys are such nice dudes too, really easy to talk to had a good laugh with them,Great band.
The best gig you have attended and why
Strangeforms festival in Leeds is the best gig we have attended this year, there are a few others but this one just stuck in our minds throughout 2015.I think we all really enjoyed just being there, watching some great bands, having an ace time in a really cool building at Warf Chambers. The atmosphere was like a real community of people who just love Math/Post/Atmospheric/Electronic music all over two days.Just a great buzz about the place and was an added bonus of playing. Just a great collection of bands/people.I think Stewart and Kerry and the team at Bad Owl have a great thing going, they have the respect of all the bands and they are lovely people who have a great passion for this type of music. For me there needs to be a Bad Owl stage at Arctangent?
Highlights of your year
Highlights of our year include, Releasing our debut album ‘Yugen’ in October. Going on our first tour of the UK and playing with some class bands at some great venues all over UK. We got to play with and be main support for ASIWYFA which was amazing.Playing Strangeforms Festival, Doing more gigs in general, meeting loads of top people and watching some brilliant bands.
Artist/Band to watch for 2016
Theres a few bands i think people will be all over in 2016.I think Bear Makes Ninja will have a great year once they release their new album. It sounds huge and amazing from what we’ve heard, think they’ll have a top year and deservedly so as they are a great band. I think bands like Chiyoda Ku will have a great year, they have got some great ideas and are so tight for three young dudes. I hear great things about A Werewolf so expecting to see them have a great 2016. Also our buds in Fly on Byrd Fly On, their new stuff is really good, definitely get on their new album.
Plans for the New Year
Our plans for new year is to play as many gigs as we can all over uk.Get to places we’ve not been before. We want to go Arc tangent whether playing or not, so many good bands. We are currently writing for a new album which is going well so far, got about 3 or 4 new ideas and in different direction which will be interesting and hopefully people will dig it. Maybe a video or two.Just see what the future brings.Look Forward to seeing new bands and old ones.
A huge thank you and hopefully see you play Arc next year!
