UK Tour with Bowling For Soup in February

Having released their debut album ‘Under The Brightest Lights’ earlier this year, Nottingham four-piece Lacey are gearing up to release five more tracks on 5th February, 2016. The tracks comprise an EP titled ‘I Don’t Owe The World A Thing’ and the release will coincide with a 15-date tour with Bowling For Soup across the UK in Feb.

The EP catches Lacey in a more melancholy mood than we’re perhaps accustomed to. At times, the songs take a darker turn, however there’s a real sense of defiance coupled with that, leaving a glimmer of hope and optimism. The first track to be unveiled is titled ‘Hoax’ and it looks at how sometimes we may find ourselves doing questionable things, but with honourable intentions. However, it’s only a matter of time before your true colours are revealed. Produced by Drew Lawson (ROAM, While She Sleeps) at Steel City Studios, the EP continues in a tradition of compelling songwriting as Lacey take cues from Jimmy Eat World, Kids In Glass Houses and many a classic band that have gone before.

Speaking about the tour with Bowling For Soup, Lacey say “We are beyond honoured and excited to be joining Bowling for Soup on their How About Another Round Tour. We’ve been very fortunate to tour with Jaret and his band People on Vacation a couple of times, as well as Erik’s solo band a few years back, and it’s always an amazing time, so to be able to tour with the whole gang is a real dream come true for us and we’re looking forward to a beer or 20 with the guys each night. Every time we’ve seen BFS over the years they’ve just been so much fun, and we’re ready to get everyone in the sprit together with the awesome Dollyrots for a massively fun show every night. It’s gonna be unmissable.”
