Experimental folk three-piece Wovoka Gentle have announced the upcoming release of their  latest record, Wovoka Gentle EP [Blue].  Following on from the success of their impressive debut self-titled EP in the summer, Blue continues to exhibit Wovoka Gentle’s fusing of 60s-inspired psychedelic   landscapes, sampling, analogue synthesis and sound manipulation with traditional songwriting discipline.

At the heart of Wovoka Gentle is the conscious desire to push boundaries and to grow   artistically whilst ensuring that bare-bones folk songwriting and structure are central to all of   their pieces – this grounding allows the London outfit to house their ambitious and   artistically-conscious soundscapes into a form that is both creatively provoking and open to   the listener’s own personal narratives.

Live performances are a feast for the eyes as well as the ears, with performance art   instillations and visual projections being important elements to help bring Wovoka Gentle’s world to listeners. Their only show to date was a sell out at London’s Cecil Sharp House.

Wovoka Gentle EP [Blue].  takes the power of traditional songwriting and bathes it in Americana-inspired psychedelic overtones, creating a unique meld that speaks deeply to the listener and is dripping in artistic intent.

Wovoka Gentle are twin sisters Imogen Mason and Ellie Mason and William Stokes. The EP is due for release on the 27th November 2015 via Yucatan Records.

They play a headline show at Electrowerkz on the 23rd November for Parallel Lines.

Upcoming Live dates:   23rd November – Electrowerkz (Parallel Lines)
