Following continued play of the track on BBC 6Music (as Lauren Laverne’s Headphone Moment and on the Recommends Show, followed by spins by Radcliffe & Maconie) Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation have unveiled the new video for forthcoming single Take Me Beyond via its premiere on Loud & Quiet.
The Christian Saldert directed video perfectly captures the essence of Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation, their ability to create sonic experimentations with krautrock and driven psychedelia, with a style and pop-sensibility befitting their Nordic roots.
Take Me Beyond is out digitally on 30 October and is the first single to be taken from Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation’s debut album Horse Dance, which follows on 6 November, both via Rocket Recordings. The releases follow the dramatic and speedy rise to prominence of the band who, in the last 12 months alone, have toured with Goat and Les Big Byrd, been nominated for Best Newcomer at the Swedish Grammy and played rapturously received appearances at festivals like Roskilde.
