Exeter’s Muncie Girls have released an effervescent slice of indie rock this week in the form of a split with Germany’s Sandlotkids, via Uncle-M Records. Along with a cover of The Ramones’ ‘Pet Semetary’, the record features a brand new original track from the trio, called ‘Gone With The Wind’, for which they’ve just unveiled a music video. Vocalist and bassist Lande Hekt says“Gone With the Wind is basically a summary of my fickleness. I had at first hoped it to be an encouraging message for young girls who feel uncertain, and maybe it could’ve said to them ‘It’s okay that you don’t know what you’re doing, just go with it.’ But I think it ended up coming out as another misery song. Ha.”

Along with the release of the split-7″ Muncie Girls are currently on a full European tour supporting Such Gold (Razor & Tie) with select UK dates to come. Stay tuned for news of Muncie Girls’ debut album which will be released early in 2016 via Specialist Subject (UK), Uncle-M (Europe) and Animal Style (USA). –
