Champions of the UK underground scene The Lovely Eggs return with their new single ‘Goofin’ Around (in Lancashire)’ out on Friday, November 13th.

Released on limited edition and mega-collectible “fried-egg vinyl” on their own label Egg Records, the hand-packaged 7” features the psychedelic fuzz pop mind frying A-Side ‘Goofin’ Around (in Lancashire)’ backed by brand new B-Side ‘Ballad of All Time and That’- a fuzzed out sludge-pop anthem about solidarity through the boozy bad times.

‘Goofin’ Around (in Lancashire)’ is the 2nd single to be taken from their new album ‘This Is Our Nowhere’ (released earlier this year with 8/10 reviews in NME and much support from BBC 6 Music) and joins the oddball punk rock pair (Holly Ross and David Blackwell) on their screeching, psyche -soaked quest to find a house party through the streets of their home town of Lancaster.

Accompanied by artwork and video by cult underground artist and baboon keeper Casey Raymond, this is yet another raucous punked up psyche trip of nonsensical perfection and a big fuck you to the bland factory farmed digitally released singles around nowadays.

The Lovely Eggs continue to cement their reputation as one of the most exciting, innovative and genuine bands of the Great British Underground scene and have been selling out venues across the country without the help of management, booking agent or record label support.

With songs firmly set in the hum drum of everyday life, The Lovely Eggs turn normality on its head, squeezing it through their peculiar surreal mincing machine and blending it with fuzzed out guitar and crashing drums. For Holly and David being in a band is a way of life. And they approach it in a unique way laughing in the face of life’s absurdities. They are a rallying point for anyone that sees life for what it is. A mess. A wonderful, car crash of experiences, greeting each new chance with a cheeky grin, a sneer and a big fuck you to the pricks.
