HECK (fka Baby Godzilla) announce The Breakers single and UK tour‏

Heck, the band formally known as Baby Godzilla, wrestled to the ground by a Japanese cinema giant who legally halted them from using their band name, are back. This is a new band, with raging new music, ready to create fresh carnage, ready to be downloaded on October 30^th.

Titled ‘The Breakers’ and released digitally through the newly-founded label NPAG Industries, the Nottingham based quartet are fully lit and cannot wait to charge. Heck have already cemented their reputation as one of the UK’s most deranged, unhinged live bands, through an endless touring schedule, explosive live shows and a series of eye-gouging videos since their formation in 2012. Co-produced by the band and Matt Peel (Pulled Apart By Horses/EAGULLS) at Cottage Road Studios in Leeds, ‘The Breakers’ is a jarring, bolt of noise that will rip through you like lightning, before descending into a doom-laden, monstrously heavy riff that will leave you withered and weak. It’s a song about relationships, about break-ups and escape:

“Some things are better left at peace,” explains singer/guitarist Matt Reynolds. “When posed with a second chance we are teased by the inherent futility of it all. The underlying trust issues never leave and the all-consuming paranoia perpetually pulls each part of the relationship back to the place it wants to be. This often results in the repetition of a well familiar argument, one so recognisable that you can often stand back and allow your partner to argue with their self. It would be easy at this point to become apathetic and to let yourself be carried along without the need to feel anymore. The decisions can be made for you and you never have to work up the energy to disagree. In reality these problems mean nothing at all. Better to just break the whole thing apart yourself before this all goes too far. Break it apart brutally and gruesomely before your personality leaves you for good.”

‘The Breakers’ is released digitally October 30^th and will then be available on the debut Heck album to be released in 2016 through NPAG Industries. You can pre-order the single on 1^st October.
