Having recently released a brand new EP called ‘You’re Going To Make It’ in the UK via Fierce Panda (and in the US via Barsuk), Mates of State have just announced their first shows on UK shores for almost ten years. The Connecticut husband and wife duo previously supported We Are Scientists here back in 2006. Now, with four headline dates booked, they’re all set to bring their recent EP and cult classic hooks to the UK audience in person.

Specialising in exuberant indie-synth-pop, Kori Gardner (vocals, organ, piano and occasional guitar) and Jason Hammel (vocals, drums, percussion and occasional synthesiser) have a knack for tunes fizzing with razor-sharp harmonies, shimmering new wave synth melodies and lyrics that speak to both personal and universal concerns.
