“Slurring guitar chords and a heavy bassline progress nicely onto groovy guitar picking, married to smooth high vocals from the new dreampop duo. Definitely one to watch out for”- GQ Magazine

“The brilliant combination of 80s groove, dreamy vocals and synthy backline makes you feel like you’ve jumped straight into a time machine.”- Fresh On The Net

The Swedish electro-pop act Death In The Afternoon are about to treat us with the next single from their forth-coming album called Let Go. As all their other tracks, this one is also produced remotely by the duo themselves.Christian and Linda’s hard work, talent and artistic individuality seem to be paying off by having already gained the support of GQ Magazine, JaJaJa Music, Nordic By Nature to name a few.

Airy, dreamy and filled with stunning vocal lines, the single Let Go begins with a fast-paced steady beat and lures the listener into its eerily stunning sound right away. Playing with the evergreen romanticism softly implied by bands like M83, The Naked And Famous or Young Galaxy, DITA are all about looking skyward and actually providing the sonic jetpacks essential to getting there.

The nostalgic feel of this fast-tempo summer soundtrack presents the widely respected Scandi winning formula of writing songs filled with skill, quality and creativity. Its tempered instrumental atmosphere is given a steady rise and a contrasting sense of melancholia by the distant lead vocals, leaving the listener hopelessly enchanted throughout and wanting more.

Let Go will be released via Summer Heart’s label Sommarhjärta, and it will be available for sale and download everywhere from the 4th September 2015. All the recent tracks are taken from the forthcoming much anticipated LP to be released in October (more info to follow shortly)…
