Comprised of former Arctic Monkeys’ Andy Nichols and Jamie Shield, the production outfit has already worked with the likes of George The Poet and Terri Walker, as well as releasing music under the monicker Clubs & Spades. The pair are now ready to release their debut EP ‘I.D’ on 14th August on their own label Card Gang Music in partnership with label and publisher Def Disco
The first track to be unveiled, ‘Professional’ is a dark and bass heavy affair featuring upcoming artist Hecky on vocals.
About the label Nicholson explained “Creating our own label seemed the obvious choice when looking at all our options. Card Gang was conceived as a brand that would encapsulate our talents and skill sets whether we were working singularly or together under our Clubs & Spades or Sticky Blood monikers. We are sure we will have other aliases depending on the music we create, so having Card Gang Music as an umbrella over our various projects made the most sense. By teaming up with the Def Disco, we’re able to use their infrastructure to release our records, as well as their sync teams to get the music more profile.”
