Debut album ‘Clouded’ out now on Epitaph
“possibly the most beautiful record about heartbreak you’ll hear all year.” – Rock Sound (8/10)
Having melted hearts and roused sing-alongs across the UK on their recent co-headline tour with As It Is and as part of last weekend’s Slam Dunk festival, Long Beach acoustic punk duo This Wild Life have released their track ‘Bound To Break’ for free download this week. Taken from pair’s debut album ‘Clouded’, which was recently released on Epitaph Records to critical acclaim, it’s been picking up some strong support at the likes of Kerrang! Radio. This Wild Life have been on the road since the album’s release, bringing their soulful tunes to the masses, including stints in the UK, Soundwave Festival in Australia and a run on the Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens World Tour in their native US.
Coming together in the tight knit DIY punk scene of Long Beach, Kevin Jordan and Anthony Del Grosso began their career as This Wild Life playing pop-punk but soon started to turn their music making on its head to go acoustic. The duo is widely known for their cover of Bring Me The Horizon‘s ‘Sleepwalking’ which certainly lets their hardcore roots show. Debut album ‘Clouded’ was recorded with Aaron Marsh of Copeland and is the triumphant result of years marked by small triumphs, big struggles and countless floor shows.
