SEØUEL
– NEW TRACK ‘FEAR PARTY’ ONLINE NOW
– ANNOUNCES EP ‘REYKJAVIK’ DUE JULY 24TH
LABEL: DISORDER RECORDINGS
Following last winter’s sinister EP ‘Prague’, Scottish producer SEØUEL has announced his second release, with the forthcoming EP entitled ‘Reykjavik’, due out July 24th on Disorder Recordings. Today he streams the first track ‘Fear Party’ from the forthcoming release.
SEØUEL no fan of half measures, with his new track ‘Fear Party‘ exemplifying just that. Complete with fiery, darkcore tones, it’s a hard-hitting, techno-laced number that fits somewhere between the score of a horror movie and a dark, heaving Berlin dancefloor.
Reflecting a transient lifestyle spent on the road, in & out of venues & festivals, SEØUEL’s second bout of intense techno-infused electronics swaps the pious backdrop of the Czech Republic for the crisp & stark setting of one of Europe’s most dramatic & isolated countries.
Famed for it’s otherworldly scenery, intrinsic folklore and fertile arts & music scene, ‘Reykjavik’ & it’s surrounding countryside acts as a powerful catalyst for a second offering from this mysterious beat-maker.
Whether this be apparent in the stark, hard-hitting notes of opening track ‘Fear Party’, the more cinematic synths of ‘Viðkvæmt Blóm (The Chattanoogan)’ or the spacious, eerie sounds of ‘Subtle’, it’s clear to see that the compelling, bold, complex landscape of Iceland had a real influence on the making behind ‘Reykjavik’ and it’s immersing darkcore tones.
‘Reykjavik’ EP tracklist:
1. Fear Party
2. Íslenskir Fuglar
3. Viðkvæmt Blóm (The Chattanoogan)
4. Subtle
5. Skrýtið Andrúmsloft
