Lone Wolf shares video for ‘Get Rough’
and announces last ever show!

“He might just be Leeds’ answer to Frank Ocean.”  Uncut 8/10

“The live feels gives immediacy and a palpable sense of electricity; there’s an emotional charge throughout this album.”  Music OMH

“… Marshall has ended up crafting his finest work. The Lone Wolf years may be over but it would be a great shame were this to be a full stop.”  Clash

“I felt blessed that Marshall found the courage and drive to make this piece of art.”  Artrocker

“Lodge Is Lone Wolf’s best album yet. We hope that there’s still more to come.”  For Folk Sake

“a stunning album that is as beautiful as it is remarkable.”  Gigsoup

“a remarkable achievement; a collection of songs that ache with emotional depth.”  Echoes & Dust

Lone Wolf approached the recording of his latest album, Lodge, very differently to his previous works on Bella Union and his own label (The Devil and I and The Lovers).  He locked himself inside The Lodge with only his producer, long time band mate James Kenosha and trumpeter David Wärmegård, for six days.

Despite being an accomplished guitarist, Marshall devoted his attention to the piano on this record, and decided to use this one last chance to record in his mental haven like a confession both to speak openly about who he really is, and the skin he lives in.  Albums do not come more human and organic than this.

Lone Wolf (Paul Marshall) shares the latest video from his highly acclaimed album Lodge which was released in May this year.

Marshall explains “Get Rough” epitomises the constant mistakes i have and continue to make in life.  I can never work out when it is right to stand my ground or back down.  I tend to always fuck it up and do the wrong thing.  Every fucking time.”

Lone Wolf will play is final gig at his hometown of Leeds on the 12th September.

Lone Wolf states:

“I’ve made no secret about the fact that I think it is time to shed the Lone Wolf guise.  I have had 5 bizarre years using this moniker, of which sadly it often felt that the down outnumbered the ups. However, i have always stayed true to everything i have ever wanted to do musically with no compromises.  I’m happy to say that i am going to leave behind the Lone Wolf name having made the record that I always hoped i’d have the guts to make.  I care about it with all of my heart, and I see no better time to shed the Lone Wolf name and become reacquainted with the guy beneath it all.  The guy who actually made that record.  Me.  Paul Marshall.  So i can’t keep talking about it.  It has to happen sometime, and so for me, there was no better place to give Lone Wolf a send off than my other spiritual musical home, The Brudenell Social Club in my home town of Leeds on 12th September 2015.  I’d be honoured if you’d come and share this evening with me.”
