To celebrate the release, James is giving away EP track ‘Maybe’.
James has been performing as a solo artist for 6 years, following on from his tenure in Inverness band The Aquascene. There is a raw emotion present in his voice that bubbles under the surface through tracks such as ‘Maybe’ and ‘My Song’, before exploding full force in the soulful EP finale ‘It’s All Good’.
With Influences ranging from Neil Young to Charlie Simpson, along with a long-lasting love affair with heavy metal, James’ sound undulates between the accessibility of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and the passion of Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, landing somewhere in the middle to create something truly unique. He’s already received support from the likes of BBC Introducing’s Ally McCrae as well as XFM’s Jim Gellatly and The Daily Record, and has supported Midge Ure, Idlewild’s Roddy Woomble and played the main stage at festivals such as Belladrum, Tartan Heart and Rockness.
James will spend the rest of 2015 performing live in and around Scotland before heading back to the studio in July to start work on a new album.
Winter is released 3rd August 2015 via Tornface Music.
