‘Fantastically dirty… on of the catchiest choruses I’ve ever heard… made me want to dance round my bedroom with my hairbrush’ – The Fly Magazine

‘Vienna Ditto mix wild-eyed rockabilly riffs with sparse, atmospheric electronica.’ – Q Magazine

‘Portishead doing a Tarantino soundtrack’ – Huw Stephens, BBC Radio 1

‘In between the haunting vocals, the steady bassline, and rich, atmospheric layering, we couldn’t help but get lost in our own minds, slowly beginning to craft a story to fit this encapsulating tune.’- The Music Ninja

Who are Vienna Ditto? They are a two-piece hailing from London, Oxford and a Tarantino soundtrack all at the same time. Nigel is the engine responsible for the band’s constant artistic development and sonic evolution. Hatty on the other hand, is responsible for the vocals, these enchanting lead vocals that are able to effortlessly bear teeth when called upon. With the outcome resembling Martina Topley Bird and Edith Piaf morphed into one, it’s pure joy to listen toHatty when she sings.

Vienna Ditto’s upcoming new single Oh Josephine consists ofbluesy retro 60s feel, modern details adding edge to the arrangement and topped with Charlie Fathers’ That Certain Female.  Their unique ability to always remain individual has earned them support and glowing reviews from the likes of BBC Radio One, BBC6 Music and XFM, Q Magazine, Artrocker and The Fly. The new single feels haunted by the soul of 1960’s version of Lily Allen communicating through Hatty whilst being confidently supported by steady drums and deviant Link Wray guitars.

Oh Josephine is taken from Vienna Ditto’s forthcoming album Circles and it’s the opening track on the LP. The record consists of twelve well crafted pieces of music with quite a few standout tracks including the haunting A Happy Car Is A Stolen Car, the previous single Hammer And A Nail and Long Way Down, a suffocating delight of 60s beats and murky atmospherics, bruised lyricism and crafty Tarantino arrangements in one song.

Vienna Ditto are about to take us all on a road trip a la Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, and Oh Josephine will be available for sale and download everywhere 27th April 2015.
