The Silence have never had much trouble with creating monster choruses, but their chops on both guitars and drums have been upped several notches on their new single, ‘Weekends’ which is released on Monday 8th June.
Their medium is jumpy, harshly sweet pop-punk, a style made for the anthem, the tantrum, the chiming ballad and if you’re not having fun at some point during the song, you’re probably not trying.

The Silence, are no strangers to strange occurrences and a good old-fashioned dose of good luck. Last summer they filled in for Duran Duran at a festival in Spain they were merely hanging out at, on a couple of days off mid tour, and ended up socking it to 40,000 people. The band, after managing to make their way through Duran Duran’s rider found themselves on stage blasting through their set with a sneaky cover of ‘Rio’ thrown in for good measure.
This band is buzzing and filling venues UK wide. These youngsters from Durham love it on the road, on stage as they cheekily smile and grimace all the way enjoying every overnight journey up and down the UK’s motorways to perform to an ever-building audience.
