Ahead of their anticipated debut album – ‘Here It Comes’ out 4th May on ECC Records – London quartet Life In Film are streaming a new video for latest single ‘Get Closer’ premiering on Buzzfeed.

Produced by Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur, Kaiser Chiefs), ‘Get Closer’ is an upbeat indie-pop song that fuses a blues sentiment with introspective lyrics, catchy hooks and propulsive rhythms.

Written over the course of a few hours in their flat in the summer and evolving from a loose melody guitarist Edward Ibbotson was tinkering with, ‘Get Closer’ is the perfect showcase of the four-piece’s fluid and collaborative songwriting process.

With two EPs, a support slot with The Rolling Stones, global gigs with Burberry after Christopher Bailey hand-picked them (frontman Samuel Fry also modelled for Burberry) and radio plays from Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens and 6Music’s Lauren Laverne under their belt, 2015 looks set to be the year Life In Film crystallise on their early promise.

Effortlessly carving a niche in London’s musical landscape as well as garnering fans in the USA and Germany – +1 Records (The Heavy) are releasing the album in the States and after selling out Berlin & Hamburg shows on their last visit, Embassy of Music (Passenger, Robyn) will be putting out the LP Germany.

Life in Film are Samuel Fry (vocals/guitars), Edward Ibbotson (guitars), Dominic Sennett (bass) and Micky Osment (drums).
