Chet Faker – ‘Gold’ (Live on Jimmy Kimmel):

An artist of considerable range, Chet Faker—the name taken by the Brooklyn-based Australian singer & producer Nick Murphy—writes, performs and records all of his own music, giving it a warm, homespun feel.
His debut album Built On Glass was released on Downtown/Future Classic last year to rave reviews and lots of fanfare, and saw Faker pick up five ARIA Awards (Australia) including Best Male Artist, Producer of the Year and Best Independent Album, plus the #1 spot in triple j’s Hottest 100.

Faker’s popularity has continued to rise. He recently sold out a run of dates in America, including three nights at New York’s Terminal 5, two nights at Los Angeles’ Club Nokia, and two stand-out live performances at Coachella (read his profile piece on the Guardian here). Faker also turned in well-received DJ sets at Brooklyn’s Output, and a b2b set with Bonobo at The Do Lab, Coachella, as well as selling out a 13 date Australian tour earlier this year.
