Having released his acclaimed debut album Little Giant last October, to playing a triumphant sell out show at London’s Wilton’s Music Hall, and garnering radio support from Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, Radio 2’s Jo Whiley, 6Music’s Lauren Laverne and Steve Lamacq, Roo Panes finished 2014 masterfully.
The Dorset born singer has now confirmed news of his next single; live favourite, ‘Home From Home’ will be released on 16th March via CRC.

Panes’ soft delivery transforms this delicate ode into a stunningly powerful love song with its simple refrain: “In you, I’ve found my home from home / Left all that I knew for a love that I know”.
Directed by Jake McBride, a film student at Falmouth University who had previously created a fan video for Roo’s ‘Know Me Well’ which was dedicated to McBride’s father – Roo Panes’ music had helped to create a bond between father and son that was previously never there. Roo’s label then got in touch with McBride about creating an official music video for ‘Home From Home’ and the result is truly charming.
Tour dates
7th April – King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, Glasgow
8th April – McHughs Bar, Belfast
9th April – Academy 2, Dublin
14th April – Oporto, Leeds
15th April – Deaf Institute, Manchester
16th April – The Sunflower Lounge, Birmingham

Little Giant is an embracing record, its gentle rhythms and compelling cadences topped off by Roo’s marvellous vocal intonation and a voice that is characterised by a complete lack of artifice and affectation.
