Sweden’s Yung Lean will return to the UK to next month. Performing tracks from his debut album Unknown Memory, Yung Lean will play The Lantern at Bristol’s Colston Hall on 21st February, before playing an extremely special show in at the Barbican, London on 23rd February.

Two years is an era when you’re young. The 16-year-old Yung Lean from 2013 has developed into a professional artist and producer that engineers thought into the complexity of his lyrics and beats. Yung Lean is an artist that has mapped out his journey and his destination through the synthesis of his music. The influence of Yung Lean is tangible in both the hip-hop and alternative music scene. His videos repeatedly reach over a million views on YouTube. He has completed two sold out US tours and will release his debut album Unknown Memory in the UK on February 23rd.

The music has evolved as well, bleaker and deeper, yet chronically catchy. The three resident producers; Yung Gud, Yung Sherman and White Armor established themselves in the hip-hop and electronic music elite in 2014. Laser sword melancholia, ominous synth clouds hovering over clinical beats. Yes, it’s hip-hop, but defined as a hybrid of modern experimental music.
